On-site service can be costly... you are paying for a technician to be at your location for the full time it takes to fix your computer. Just running Windows updates on a computer can take hours, not to mention the time it take to scan for viruses and spyware, transfer data, or just diagnose a troublesome program. With off-site service a technician can multi-task, working on more than one computer at a time, and save you money by only charging for the actual work accomplished, rather than the full time spent on a problem from start to finish. Check out our list of services we can do for you in our shop, where we can pick up your computer, repair or upgrade it, and have it back to you as soon as possible.
On-Site Services
Set up wired or wireless network

Install and configure a wireless access point or router to share an existing broadband (DSL or Cable) connection with 1 computer. Hardware not included. Wireless Router or Access Point, $49.95 + tax. PC-Card or PCI NIC (Network Interface Card) $39.95 + tax. Additional computers $49.95 ea. + hardware

New PC or Peripheral Setup
$139.95
Set up your new PC, connect to internet, run updates, connect peripherals. Running update presumes you have a broadband network connection.
Install new hardware

Install any one new hardware device such as memory, video adapter, I/O adapter, DVD Drive, etc. Hardware not included.
General Troubleshooting

Virus and Spyware Removal

Even if you have antivirus protection a new virus can sneak into your system. We can clean out the infection and repair the damage. If you don't have a current antivirus or antispyware package we can provide. Antivirus or AntiSpyware software not included in price
Install or replace hardware

Add memory, Interface cards, Hard Drives, CDROM or DVD Drives, etc. Replace Fans, Power supplies, etc. Hardware not included in price. You can provide or we can obtain for you.
Install and Configure Software

Upgrade Operating System
$99.95
OS Not included. Generally we don't recommend upgrading Operating Systems. You are usually better off installing a new OS from scratch or buying a new computer with the new OS already installed. Unless your computer is VERY new, we do not recommend upgrading it to Windows Vista. Vista requirements are very stringent, and it will usually not run well on older hardware!
Replace/Upgrade Hard Drive
$99.95 We will take a snapshot of your old hard drive and copy the image onto a new drive. Then the new drive will be installed into your computer. If your old hard drive is experiencing errors, or you just want to migrate to a bigger drive, this is the ticket!
Reinstall Operating System
$159.95
After you have had your computer a few years it tends to slow down from all the extra junk it has accumulated over the years, and sometimes it is just better to start from scratch. We will backup your data (not your programs), wipe your old hard drive, and reinstall the operating system. Then we will run all applicable OS updates, service packs and patches, and copy your data back onto the drive. Your computer will generally run faster with a fresh install.
Complete System Restore
$199.95
Same as OS reinstall, but we will also re-install your programs for you from your original disks.
Data Recovery from Failed or Failing Hard Drive
Call
Call for Quote. If your drive is still readable but experiencing errors we can get as much data as possible from it and move it onto a new drive. If the drive has failed completely, and your data is very valuable, then the drive can be disassembled in a clean room and possibly repaired. This can be very expensive!
